Companion Animal Veterinary Clinic is a busy small animal veterinary clinic in the heart of Northeast Nebraska. We are a three doctor practice that prides ourselves in affordable, quality veterinary care. We have many amenities such as a full Idexx suite of lab equipment, digital radiographs, as well as both surgical and therapeutic lasers. Veterinary Technician
Applicants must have a strong work ethic and be able to multi-task effectively in a fast paced environment. This person should be able to communicate effectively and working in harmony with the rest of the teams while maintaining a positive attitude. A strong technical ability as well as passion for patient and client care are also important. General Duties:
Perform venipuncture for phlebotomy and catheter placement
Obtain laboratory sample collection, process and possibly interpret results
Perform diagnostic imaging
Prep patients for surgery and monitor anesthesia
Perform dental cleanings
Administer vaccines and medications (oral, topical, injectable)
Fill prescriptions and review directions with clients
Communicate with clients in order to educate on preventative care and do phone triage
Provide compassionate patient care
Minimum Requirements:
Current Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of Nebraska in good standing
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with clients and other employees
Ability to stand and walk for the entirety of shift.
Ability to lift 25+ lbs. on a regular basis.
Schedule: Full-time with rotating weekend duties (Saturday 8am-12:30pm), No major holidays

Assist Veterinarians and Technicians in patient care including animal restraint and treatment
Collect lab samples and run on in-house machines or prepare for shipment to reference lab
Float and help out in various areas of the hospital to maintain schedule and patient care
Help answer phones and fill prescriptions
Maintain cleanliness of exam rooms and treatment areas
Communicate with clients in order to educate on preventative care and do phone triage
Provide compassionate patient care
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experienced is preferred but we are willing to train and mentor the right person
General knowledge in animal behavior
Ability to do basic math
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with clients and other employees
Ability to stand and walk for the entirety of shift.
Ability to lift 25+ lbs. on a regular basis.

Qualified candidates will be experienced in and able to effectively handle and work with dogs & cats with varying behaviors and temperaments. Proper handling and understanding of animal behavior is a requirement. All pet care attendants must have a willingness and modest attitude, along with a stellar work ethic and ability to work as part of a team. General duties include:
Feeding and medicating animals
Walking dogs at least 3 times daily
Animal care such as bathing
Assisting other staff members in restraining animals and other duties
Clean and disinfect all animal holding areas
Maintain general cleanliness of all facilities
Household chores including dish washing and laundry
Minimum requirements:
Ability to read and interpret documents efficiently, as well as an ability to communicate written and verbally effectively with customers and fellow employees.
Basic mathematical skills
No experience is required, but knowledge of working with animals is preferred.
Ability to stand and walk for the entirety of shift.
Ability to lift 25+ lbs. on a regular basis.
Schedule: 3pm-6:30pm 2-3 days per week. Some weekends and holidays are required.
Receptionists must possess good critical thinking and problem solving skills. We have a very busy schedule so attention to detail and ability to follow-through are expected. This position requires excellent people skills, a friendly, outgoing demeanor, and the willingness to be a team member. Considerable tact and diplomacy are necessary General duties include:
Greeting clients in a warm, friendly manner
Answering multiple phone lines
Processing payments and giving change
Making appointments and triaging phone calls
Updating and filing patient charts
Monitoring client flow in clinic
Getting prescription and pet supply purchases ready
Maintain general cleanliness of all facilities
Minimum requirements:
Ability to read and interpret documents efficiently, as well as an ability to communicate written and verbally effectively with customers and fellow employees.
Basic mathematical skills including being able to make change
Ability to multitask and pay attention to detail
Schedule: ~18-20 hours per week. Mainly Tuesdays and Thursdays, some possible Saturdays.
